Product Description:

The purpose of a suction filter screen is to protect the pump from large particles found in the reservoir. A filter screen is located on a suction port of the pump or attached to the suction pipe leading to the pump.















Suction strainer elements are only intended to protect hydraulic pumps against catastrophic failure caused by coarse contaminant. These elements can be installed directly onto the pump suction line and should always be below the minimum fluid level of the tank.
Suction strainer elements should not be used as the only filtration elements in a hydraulic system. Pressure filters and return line filters, with reasonable dirt holding capacity, must be installed to provide protection against component damage caused by fine contaminants.
Suction strainer elements should be inspected and cleaned regularly.
